About the Opportunities

Peninsula Village has fantastic opportunities for Registered Nurses to join their teams on a Full time, Part time or Casual basis. 

The primary aim of these positions will be to provide high quality care and support to aged care facility residents with a focus on promoting health and wellbeing.

As a Registered Nurse your responsibilities may include, but not be limited to:

  • Providing a high standard of comprehensive nursing and personal care to residents;
  • The assessment and implementation of care requirements of residents;
  • Assisting residents in all areas of everyday, independent living;
  • Managing the performance of Care staff where appropriate, ensuring competencies and performance standards are met and maintained at all times;
  • Ensuring that care is planned, is based on individual resident needs and is provided according to acceptable professional standards;
  • Liaising with medical practitioners, allied health professionals and community services to ensure optimal service delivery to residents;
  • Guiding, supporting, coaching and monitoring the activities of the Care Team to ensure expected standards, performance and outcomes are met; and
  • Coordinating and evaluating training programs within the facility.

To be successful in these roles you will need to be a Registered Nurse within Australia with experience or demonstrated competence in geriatric nursing, and must hold current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (as of July 1st) or be eligible to apply.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent time management and organisational skills with highly developed interpersonal and problem solving abilities, in order to deal with the varied tasks you will undertake. 

Additionally, you will have a positive and professional outlook. A high degree of computer literacy will also be required.

Registered Nurses with management skills, coupled with comprehensive experience in coordinating a flexible, multi-skilled team environment, will be highly regarded for this role. In addition, it would be advantageous for candidates to have knowledge of ACFI documentation, care planning and funding tools as well as an understanding of the Aged Care and Nursing Home Act, however this is not essential.
