About the Opportunities
Topdeck is currently seeking Trip Leaders to join their dynamic team in Europe. Specifically, Topdeck are looking for enthusiastic, people-focused individuals with a zeal for travel and the desire to give a group of passengers the "Trip of a Lifetime".
Ideal candidates will have spent time in, or have a sound knowledge of Europe to support their application.
This is a challenging role as Trip Leaders need to be able to organise and motivate large groups of people, while making sure that all aspects of the trip go off without a hitch. Successful candidates will have to be flexible and adaptable while remaining positive in what can sometimes be difficult situations; you will need to be prepared for a challenge.
In addition, you will be a natural team-player and essentially commitment-free - so you are able to travel around Europe at the drop of a sun-hat.
Applicants should meet the following criteria to be considered for a position:
- Able to work in Europe. Candidates must therefore possess (or be able to obtain) one of the following: a UK or European Union passport; a full two year working visa, or "right of abode" or "ancestry visa" for the UK (due to immigration regulations, Topdeck is unable to offer sponsorship);
- Be well travelled. European travel and/or participation in a group trip would be highly advantageous;
- Interest in or knowledge about European history and/or culture; and
- Experience and confidence in leading and talking in front of groups of people would be beneficial.
Successful candidates will be taken on an intensive 6 week Training Trip in early April 2012 in order to prepare them for the role of Trip Leader, including several assignments prior to the Training Trip. This will involve a week in London, followed by approximately 5 weeks travelling around the most popular countries, cities and sites in Europe. We finalise our recruitment with plenty of time for you to further develop your knowledge of Europe through study.
Crew are expected to make a commitment of at least two summer seasons. Topdeck offers competitive remuneration, which will be outlined if you are successful in obtaining an interview.
This is just the first step as once you have gained experience in Europe, there are excellent opportunities in other regions as well as other areas in the company. Apply Now!
